[00:00:02] Welcome to Tell Me A Ghost Story. The late night call in podcast where we delve into the world of the supernatural and explore the eerie and unexplained. I'm your host, Michelle Newman. This podcast features true stories from our callers that will send shivers down your spine

[00:00:43] and leave you questioning the existence of the afterlife. So grab a cozy blanket, turn down the lights. Hey, this is Greg from Los Angeles, California. So last summer I was in London on vacation on holiday as the Brits would say. I was visiting Soho House Dean Street.

[00:01:10] So as in Soho, it's a very old building like every building in London or England. It has a definite sort of haunted feeling to it. And I have been feeling really weird that whole night.

[00:01:25] At one point these two girls they came up to sit at the table I was sitting at to smoke, which kind of bothered me because I don't smoke and but I didn't say anything to them about it.

[00:01:35] But I did think it was kind of strange that these two people just decided to sort of sit right next to me and do that at the table. And I was like, huh, I don't know. But my vibe was a little off.

[00:01:48] So I hung out for a little while, ate a meal, had a glass of wine, just one. And when it was time to head out back to the hotel, my husband and I we decided to explore one of the floors, you know, when we were going downstairs.

[00:02:05] And the entire floor was like a dining room area. And the entire floor was empty. No one was there for some reason, even though the entire Soho House was very busy. No one was on this floor. But we were sort of exploring and checking it out.

[00:02:22] And we would turn the corner like every time we turned the corner I kept feeling like someone was there and we turned the corner and no one was there. And I had this weird feeling in my stomach like maybe I shouldn't be here.

[00:02:34] Like I was going to get in trouble or something, even though it's a common area. So I don't know. I was just feeling kind of strange. But when it was finally time to leave, we went out to the stairs and as we started

[00:02:48] walking down the stairs, I caught something out of the corner of my eye back on that floor. It was like shoes. So I turned back around thinking I'm finally going to see the person that sort of been around the corner evading me the whole time.

[00:03:06] I turn around and at that exact moment, my feet flew out from under me. And it was as if I had been yanked and both of my legs went up into the air. My husband said I was fully horizontal for like a second and then I dropped down.

[00:03:24] It was almost comical how my legs flew out. It was like I had stepped on a banana peel and some cartoon and it was completely like I know how to walk and I had had one glass of wine. I knew it wasn't my legs.

[00:03:40] I sort of instantly knew that something weird was going on. And instead of being scared by that, I actually thought it was kind of funny. It was as if the ghost was sort of like, if it was a ghost.

[00:03:57] I think it was a ghost because I'm seeing shoes behind me and all of a sudden feeling like my legs are being yanked in front of me. Something, yeah, something did that even though I couldn't see it.

[00:04:09] So I got the impression that the ghost was sort of playing with me. It was like I've been dead for hundreds of years or however old this building is. You can enjoy your night and your vacation.

[00:04:22] Another weird thing, I did have like a giant bruise on my butt for the entire rest of the trip and it weirdly went away completely on the flight back to California. And it felt sort of very symbolic, like a reminder throughout the trip to have some

[00:04:36] fun and also come back and visit the Soho House in London again soon to see my friend in the stairway. Thank you, Greg, for your story. Greg has a great podcast when you're in the mood for something not scary and very funny.

[00:04:57] And I'll let him tell you about it. For more crazy stories like this, not usually ghost stories, but please check out my podcast Miss Thing with Greg and Tim. My co-hosts and I are two comedians and best friends.

[00:05:10] And in each episode we talked about an iconic celebrity, aka our Miss Thing of the Week, and do what we do best, which is make their iconic career achievements all about us. So you can watch it on YouTube or listen and subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or
