🍕✨ "Pizza Magik" or "Burning Man Pizza: How to Make a Miracle Happen in the Middle of the Desert at Sunrise"
In this episode, we learn about real magic. Not metaphor magic. Wood-fired sourdough pizza at sunrise in the middle of the Burning Man desert during a DJ set with 2,000 people dancing around you, magik.
Greg made 50 dough balls in 110-degree heat. He borrowed a scale from a baker an hour away by bicycle. He got locked inside a refrigerated semi-truck for over an hour, and no one could hear him yelling because of the wind. He loaded a pizza oven, wood, and all the ingredients onto a golf cart at 4 am with no room left for himself and pedaled alongside it into the desert as high as anyone has ever been.
And then he made fresh pizza anyway.
As Sean Connery's character says in Highlander, right before dissolving into a miraculous explosion: if you harness all your energy into one moment, you can make a miracle happen. That is what this episode is about. Not Burning Man specifically. Not pizza specifically. The moment you turn to a stranger in the middle of nowhere during the best moment of their life and say, "Pizza?" and they say yes, and their mind is completely blown.
